Our mission is to support you through your admission process from start to finish. Our highly skilled team members will help you fulfil the requirements that the college has held in place for you to be able to secure your position in college. We are here to provide information regarding courses, colleges and universities and how to pay your tuition fees.

We will start by giving you a free consultation where we will discuss what course you are interested in studying and what subject attracts you the most. We will explain to you what the requirements are and based on that we will then ask you to fill out a form of registration in order for us to ensure that we have your details to go onto the next stage.

We will then provide you with all the information that you will need so that you can bring in the important documents needed to complete your application.

If you are new to Student Finance there is no need to panic. We are here to guide you. Course Entry Requirements:
The criteria for joining this course is as follows:

BTEC Level 3 qualification or 120 UCAS points or

GCE Advanced Level profile demonstrating strong performance in a relevant subject. This is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at
A to C or -
Other related Level 3 qualification or

An access to higher Education Certificate

Relevant work experience or

Students who are non-native English speakers or who have not studied the final two years of school in English, can demonstrate capability in English at a standard commensurate to: with IELTS results of 5.5 to 6.5 being awarded on individual sections for a Level 4 or 5 Qualification or

Travelling To The UK
What you will need to bring with you:

A letter of acceptance from your School, College or University.
-
Original certificates of qualifications. (or certified true copies).
-
Recent bank statements.
-
Proof of scholarship if you have one. ( could possibly be used as evidence that you can pay accommodation and tuition fees).

Your passport with a valid visa if you need one.
-
Travel itinerary and tickets.
-
If you are on any regular prescription medication you will need your Doctor to write a letter for you to explain why you need to take it.
Extra information – What to expect during your journey:
-
Most importantly, it is important for you to pack warm clothes for when you get to the UK as the weather can get very cold and unpredictable.

Health and Travel insurance might be necessary so be sure to check if it is a requirement. There are companies who work specifically on international student insurance that you may be able to contact and get more information from. Also contact your College/University and find out if they have any information regarding insurance policies for students.

Check your baggage limit with the airline you will be flying with as most airlines charge for excess baggage.

When boarding connecting flights there can be long queues so be sure to be extra early and give yourself more than enough time to check in and pass through security control.
Extra information to keep handy for when you arrive in the UK:

Once you have arrived in the UK, if you need any help, go to an official tourist information office or information desk. You can find these in the airport.

It is important to keep with you the contact details (telephone numbers and address) of your new school, college or university and preferably a name of a staff member that you can talk to directly, this way you contact them as soon as possible if you need to.
-
Be sure to keep at least £200 in travellers’ cheques so that you have money on you for food, public transport and customs charges if needed. You will also have access to money exchange services and ATMs to withdraw cash in British Pounds Sterling as long as you have compatible credit or debit cards.
Once you have arrived at the UK Airport:

Have your passport ready in your hand.

Complete the landing card that will be handed to you on the plane if you’re a non EEA national. You can also find them in the immigration hall.

If you have a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number, make sure to bring proof of this number with you.

Bring information of your course of study.

If you have any official medical documents, recent bank statements and information about your accommodation (where you will be staying) in your hand luggage, as this may be asked to be shown.

Remember that you are not allowed to bring any dairy products or meat from outside the European Union. There are some restrictions on fish, eggs, honey, fruit, vegetables and plants. Make sure you check the restrictions of limits of gifts, alcohol and tobacco that you can bring to the UK. This information can be found on www.gov.uk/duty-free-goods

Check your duty free limit as you will have to declare and pay duty at customs if you go over the given limit, otherwise they are allowed to take your items away from you.

If you have more than €10,000 or the same amount in a different currency and you are travelling from a country outside the EU, then you must declare this money.

DO NOT give any false or misleading information.

Once you arrive at the airport, if this is your final destination then make your way to ‘Arrivals’ by following the signs. If you have a connecting flight then follow the signs that say ‘Flight connections’.

Following the ‘Arrivals’ signs will take you towards passport control. At this point there are separate queues for passport holders from the ‘UK’, ‘EEA’, ‘Switzerland’ and ‘All other passport holders’. Once this immigration stage is complete you will need to go to the next stage.

Next you will need to follow the signs for ‘Baggage reclaim’ to collect your luggage. You will need to look at the screens to find your flight number and that is where you will find your luggage that you need to collect and take with you.

The next and last stage is passing through customs control. At UK airports there are usually 3 options;
- A blue channel if you are coming from a different airport within the EEA.
- A green channel if you are travelling from outside the EEA and you do not have anything to declare.
- A red channel if you are travelling from outside the EEA and you do have goods to declare. -
